Winemaking
Fermented for 10 days at 27 ºC. Macerated for 15 days pumped over twice a day. Not clarified or cold stabilised. It was lightly filtered.

Given the characteristics of this wine, and it's ageing in French and American oak, it should improve in the coming years developing new nuances, finesse and aromatic potential, if cellared adequately. We recommend tasting it straight away, to be able to enjoy its evolution in the future. Serve between 14-19°C

The 1999 Tempranillo represents a positive departure from Albet I Noya's typical austere style. It reveals less rugged tannin, a pleasing mid-palate and texture, and less aggressive notes of wood and herbs. This textured, long, full-bodied effort reveals beautiful sweet black cherry fruit mixed with smoke, spice, and lead pencil. Multilayered, rich, open-knit, and supple, it is a seductive, nicely-concentrated offering to drink over the next 4-5 years.

The saturated ruby/purple-colored 1993 Tempranillo exhibits an intense fragrance and sweet, up-front, jammy, black-cherry and cassis fruit. It is voluptuously-textured, with low acidity, light tannin, and a rich, fleshy, medium to full-bodied finish. This impressively made wine will drink well over the next 7-8 years. A little more soul would have propelled this wine into the outstanding category. This wine offers serious levels of intensity and plenty of sweet, toasty new oak. It exhibits a more international style than most Spanish red wines.

The 1990 Tempranillo is seductive, charming, and voluptuously-textured. It displays loads of black-raspberry, black-cherry, and curranty fruit in its dramatic nose. Full-bodied and velvety-textured, with plenty of glycerin and alcohol that give a wine that mouthfilling, chewy character, this well-made, pure wine is ideal for consuming over the next 5-7 years.

The Col.leccio offering is a serious effort. The wine is aged 12 months in a combination of American and French oak, then lightly filtered prior to bottling. The dark ruby-colored 2000 Tempranillo Col.leccio exhibits pure briery, cherry, and strawberry fruit notes intermixed with loamy soil characteristics. Medium-bodied with light tannin in the finish, it will drink well for 2-3 years.
